OK, so I have a crazy schedule and I can not watch the programs on primetime TV to normal. Lately I've been watching HBO, Showtime series on DVD through Netflix, instead of remaining at 2 h movies. I saw Sex and the City, The Sopranos and Six Feet Under, Queer as Folk. Need a new show to watch now. All recommendations, cable or network? I am open to suggestions, but I like shows that are larger and have a lot of movies you can see in order to avoid having to wait for each new season.

Northern Exposure – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098878/ – Eccentric drama / comedy about a doctor in New York who have to work in a small town in Alaska for pay their student loans. Dead Like Me – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348913/ – Dark comedy / drama about a young woman dies and becomes a reaper. Rome – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384766/ – Historical drama begins just before the assassination and ends shortly after Caesar Augustus took power. Games have beautiful scenery, tight plot and great characters. If you like what you could also praise the old BBC miniseries I, Claudius. The Shield – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286486/ – can be uneven, but it is a character interesting study on the cops who cross the line, sometimes for good reasons, and sometimes not, and the number that is in them. Nip / Tuck – http://www.imdb.com/title / Tt0361217 / – A little bit of a soap opera, but an interesting story about two plastic surgeons and how beauty is more than skin deep. 24 – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285331/ – Other misconduct, but if you check your brains at the door, can be fun guilty pleasure. Battlestar Galactica – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314979/ – is new. The intrigue, strong plots, and a story that leaves you thinking at times that really should be rooting for. Farscape – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0187636/ – a fun, lost in space science fiction about an astronaut who is in another galaxy. main characters, pace and good story development, and some twists and turns are quite unexpected. Heroes – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0813715/ – starting only his second season, but in reality is one of the best shows on TV for years. Normal people think they have developed skills and try to deal with them. Some use them for good, others for evil, and others like them disappear. Supermarkets great literature, great show. Lost – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411008/ – A plane crashes on a deserted island. Only that is not deserted. Also is full of mysteries, and passengers are more connected than you think. Good mystery and atmosphere, although it may be uneven at times. Prison Break – Http: / / Www.imdb.com/title/tt0455275/ – Another fun, guilty pleasure. It takes a certain amount of disbelief suspension, but the show is a roller coaster ride is difficult to get off. Fun and dependence, with many twists and turns and actions. The X-Files – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106179/ – older, and fell at the end. However, it was a spectacle of two FBI agents investigated in the paranormal. Twin Peaks – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098936/ – Old and rare. I honestly do not know how to describe it. It was a murder mystery, in the acid. It lasted only two seasons, but they were an interesting twist. Ugly Betty – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0805669/ – It just started its second season, but this show is very funny! It's fun, funny and sad. Hard to describe, but just … fun. Even my husband, who hates comedy and is usually more of an action / adventure type like Ugly Betty.
