Can anyone tell me who was Pierre Termier? book found in a garage sale in 1910 entitled "The Geology of the Alps?
The book is in the original manga, looking old, she wrote in Paris 1910.
Pierre-Marie Pierre-Marie Termier Termier (July 3, 1859 October 23, 1930) was a geologist French. Born in Lyon, Rhône, France, son of Francis Joseph and Joan Termier Mollard. At the age of 18 years of age, entered the Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Mines de Paris in the 1880s. After graduating, he became a professor at the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne. In 1894 he moved to Paris where he taught for the rest of his career. He was elected a member of the Science Academy in 1909, in the section of mineralogy. Two years later he became director of the mapping service geology of France. In 1930 he became vice-president Academy. During his career he has carried out geological studies in the Alps and Corsica and North Africa. Was a developer leaves the concept of tectonic and capabilities as a force in the mountains.
